About the speakers:

Trey Suntrup, PhD is a researcher and product engineer with over 13 years of experience developing novel device technologies in both academic and industrial settings. He joined Readout Health from his position as an entrepreneur-in-residence at BioGenerator, a St. Louis based venture capital firm and early Readout Health investor. Previously, Trey was a Translational Sciences and Entrepreneurship fellow at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, where he helped academic faculty transition commercially promising technologies from the lab to the private sector. He also served as an investment analyst for for several venture capital firms in the life sciences. Trey is passionate about partnering with mission-driven founders as they advance new device and digital health technologies to improve patient care. He holds a PhD in physics and electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. 

Kristina Spellman, RD, LD is the Director of Product and Program Development at SetPoint Health. Prior to joining SetPoint Health in 2009, Kristina was a research dietician at the Center for the Study of Nutrition and Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Kristina also serves as a nutrition advisor in a variety of capacities, most recently focusing on nutrient symbols and their functionality within grocery store aisles. She has been a contributor as both author and co-author in various journals and textbooks including Obesity Management; Bariatric Times; Journal of the American Dietetic Association; Obesity Surgery-Patient Safety and Best Practices; and Kristina served as the nutrition expert on a multidisciplinary panel for the Medscape video CME entitled, “Small Steps and Practical Approaches to the Treatment of Obesity.”

Brandy Wintermuth, ARNP has worked in weight and metabolic disease management for more than 13 years. Brandy earned her master’s degree in nursing in 2004 from St. Scholastica in Minnesota. Since 2004, Brandy has been working to prevent and reverse cardio-metabolic diseases related to lifestyle choice. “Food is medicine” guides her philosophy of care while sharing knowledge and power of low carb living is her passion.
